For 5 years I’ve known about Lost. I have the kind of mind that is entertained by a show like Lost. I regret having not played the Lost Experience ARG prior to the pilot episode. I’m a creative kind of person who loves puzzles, and if you’ve seen Lost, you’d agree with me that it’s my kind of show.
But for 5 years, I managed to avoid Lost altogether.
Not by choice, so much as by chance.
So this summer, a few of my friends who watch the show pretty regularly convinced me to come watch it with them. And now I’m hooked. I’m skeptical about the things that JJ Abrams has a hand in, but to date, Star Trek and Lost have not disappointed me.
I’ve been told that there’s somewhat of a ‘lull’ in the second season, but that it gets a lot better in Season 3. And I’m prepared for that. Because I just had a conversation with a friend of mine about how Number 2’s of things are typically weaker than the rest. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as well as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom come to mind, followed closely (if not more so) by Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones. So I’m fully prepared to plow through Season 2 and onward to the rest of the show.
My goal: Watch all 5 seasons on www.abc.com before January so I can watch Season 6 (the final season) live.
Here we go!
